Education

For over 10 years, Guinness Nigeria’s learning for life programme has provided a platform for the Company to support youth development across its host communities in Lagos and Edo states.

Guinness Nigeria also sponsors a technical training scholarship which enables young school leavers to study at the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT), Isheri Lagos State. This scholarship (which covers full tuition for a three-year Electromechanics program) underpins our Company’s commitment to equipping young Nigerians with the technical skills they need to pursue successful careers in the engineering field.

The Guinness Graduate Skills Development Scholarship Scheme provides full tuition for 10 Engineering graduates to undergo a one-year Graduate Skills Development Programme at the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN). This programme equips the beneficiaries with the required technical skills they need to build successful careers in Nigeria’s growing power sector

We established a scholarship scheme for young school leavers in our host communities in Lagos State and Edo State to enable them to study engineering. The scheme is being implemented in collaboration with the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and has been extended to include other fields of study. It is being conducted in partnership with the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).

For over 10 years, Guinness Nigeria’s learning for life programme has provided a platform for the Company to support youth development across its host communities in Lagos and Edo states. In the last financial year, Guinness Nigeria paid tuition for 20 undergraduates (from our host communities) who are beneficiaries of the scheme. The undergraduate scholarship scheme is one of three scholarship schemes Guinness Nigeria leverages to support young Nigerians.
