Guinness Nigeria Celebrates Outstanding Business Trade Partners at its 2023 Business Sales Conference & Award ceremony

Guinness Nigeria, a subsidiary of Diageo Plc, and the leading total beverage alcohol company in Nigeria hosted its trade business partners in a two-day business conference to restate its commitment to its business trade partners across the country, while celebrating their contributions to what has been a challenging but remarkable fiscal year 2023.

The conference and award ceremony tagged “Igniting the Future for Growth” which held at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, kicked off with a business meeting which included a review of the year’s performance, along with deliberations for the new year. Later on, attendees were treated to an elaborate award dinner cum gala night with comedy highlights, musical performances and awards presentation to many of the trade partners that performed exceptionally in the F’23 fiscal year.

Speaking at the award ceremony, the Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria Plc, John Musunga stated that, the celebration is a clear demonstration of the company’s appreciation for the invaluable partnership over the years, and for their undeniable contributions to Guinness Nigeria’s business goals throughout the 2023 fiscal year.

“We are delighted to express our profound appreciation to our esteemed business partners for your commitment to our business over the past 12 months. We recognize that it hasn’t been an easy road to ply, but we are happy that you have been with us through it all. Our published results show that Guinness Nigeria has consistently delivered growth in the face of the challenging operating environment characterized by rising inflation, deteriorating foreign exchange situation, temporary cash scarcity, and election related anxiety and disruptions and much more. We couldn’t have done this without you.”

Musunga further noted that the company remains committed to providing its trade partners with support required to ensure the growth of their businesses.

Also speaking during the event, the Commercial Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Adebayo Alli showed immense appreciation to all the trade partners for being an integral part of the success recorded by the company both in value and volume growth.

“A big thank you to our partners for your support and commitment to our business goals. You have been with us through the down-time and we are excited you are still here for the up-times. You have maintained very healthy business relationships with our sales team and supported the execution of our route to consumer strategy in the way that has brought huge returns for all our stakeholders.”

The major highlight of the award ceremony came when some select trade partners were rewarded in cash and gifts for their exceptional sales performance for the 2023 business year with each of them winning in different categories.

Speaking on stage while shortly after receiving the award, the winner for the highest sale TBA, Dr. Edmond Okafor (Eddinho Nig Ltd) expressed his delight for emerging the Overall best distributor on TBA GSV Performance.

“Huge thanks to Guinness Nigeria Plc for recognizing the impact of my contribution to the overall performance of the company. This honour means a lot to me and I look forward to doing more great work, and a continuation of the mutually beneficial relationship with the company ”, Dr. Okafor said.
