Every time I hear the Guinness Nigeria value “Proud of What We Do”, I stand taller. You have to love what you do to be proud of it. It makes you put in your best. I love my work; this passion for commitment speaks volumes to me.
What is the work environment like?
The work environment in Guinness Nigeria is diverse, dynamic, youthful and encourages growth. I feel the work space is so energetic yet challenging. This brings out the best in you - and for me, this means growth.
How would you describe a career in Guinness Nigeria?
Challenging, fulfilling, satisfying and rewarding - all rolled into one! It’s like being on a career fast track. My career has grown tremendously in past 2 years. The exposure to systems, processes, industry leaders, training and development have given my career a boost.
What do you think about our brands and Sustainability & Responsibility initiatives?
We have the best brands! Working in Procurement means I know understand the production process for our great brands and how they are delivered to our consumers. We put 100% quality into our products. I love that our S&R initiatives have such personal impact. Our Water of Life initiatives, Friends of the Community programs, the Guinness Eye Hospitals – they all positively affect daily living and improve socio-economic wellbeing.

Which of our values resonates more closely to you?
“Valuing each other” means a lot to me because here we recognize that the company’s growth is only guaranteed in an atmosphere of individual growth. I also believe in the “Freedom to succeed”. In Guinness Nigeria you can be whoever you want to be. The only barrier that can limit you is yourself.
What is the work environment like?
Guinness Nigeria works as one family. Once you join the company, you become a member of the Arthur Guinness family. People care for one another and relationships extend beyond work.
How would you describe a career in Guinness Nigeria?
A career in Guinness Nigeria is very challenging; there is no quota for poor performers. It is also very dynamic - I joined as a Production trainee, and over the years have moved through Brewing, Research and Development, Environment, Quality Assurance, Sales, Trade Quality, Training, Change Management and I work now in Manufacturing Support. The reward structure truly recognizes high performance.
What do you think about our brands and corporate social responsibilities?
The brand Guinness stands for quality, strength, value, genuineness and greatness which are evident in all our brands. I feel proud to work for a company whose sustainability efforts have great impact in improving the lives and wellbeing of local communities. |
